This work questions the world of couples by describing and comparing a sample of couples who have requested psychotherapeutic intervention for relational problems with a sample of "non-clinical" couples. In proceeding with this description and comparison, we made use of the tools of Prepare/Enrich, an online evaluation program of the functioning of couples which returns a report with data on couple understandings in the main areas of functioning, on relational dynamics, on the evaluation of couples and of their families of origin according to Olson’s circumplex model of family and couple systems, on the personality traits of members of the couple. The total sample is made up of 39 couples, for a total of 78 subjects. The data was collected during the last two years (2020/2021). Specifically, a sample consists of 19 couples who requested treatment for relationship problems (CP) at specialized centers and a sample (CPM) consisting of 20 couples who turned to centers for premarital courses and minor differences in emotional stability.
