The author underlines that, when we have to deal with the complexity of cancer, we must consider the importance and the need for a global care not only for the patient, and his family, but also the functioning and the influence of the caring system. The paper gives particular attention to the implications of psychological and relational treatment at the end of life. Consideration are made on an educational model proposed to the interdisciplinary team, aimed at promoting the development of emotional experiences, in an atmosphere of sharing, and at allowing the acquisition of a greater awareness and intervention capacity.
