This article approaches the issue of depressive experiences according to Gestalt therapy. The author treats the topic under four aspects: 1) the ontological meaning of depressive experiences (DE) amidst human experiences; 2) a comparison between psychiatric and gestalt epistemology of DE; 3) a phenomenological and esthetic glance at DE in psychotherapy (distinguishing among reactive, "embodied" and psychotic experiences); 4) a description of DE in young people in present society.
