Riassunto L’esperienza di detenzione ha una valenza traumatica per il detenuto, ma anche per i suoi familiari che subiscono la lacerazione dei rapporti affettivo-sentimentali. Ancor più compromesso è il rapporto genitore-figli, per l’impatto sia sui vissuti connessi al ruolo genitoriale sia sul benessere fisico, psichico e sociale dei figli. Si tratta dunque di un problema complesso, che muove interrogativi di tipo clinico-sociale ed etico, in assenza di chiare e condivise indicazioni trattamentali. Sono stati consultati database elettronici alla ricerca di studi pubblicati negli ultimi 20 anni. Nella revisione sistematica della letteratura qui presentata sono state analizzate le risultanze di 27 articoli sul tema della genitorialità in esperienze di detenzione pubblicati tra il 1998 e il 2018. Le questioni trattate dagli articoli possono essere sintetizzate in tre nuclei tematici: (i) i figli e le tipologie di rischio in seguito alla carcerazione di uno o entrambi i genitori; (ii) i soggetti reclusi, la percezione ed i vissuti circa il proprio ruolo genitoriale; (iii) il legame e le variabili relative all’esperienza detentiva che minacciano la qualità del rapporto genitorefigli. Data l’esiguità della letteratura scientifica su questo argomento, si ritiene il lavoro un punto di partenza per riflessioni e ricerche future.;
