The article proposes the use of some hypnotic techniques to resolve identity crises. After an analysis of the historical-cultural context, self-awareness is de-scribed according to pragmatist and sociological theories. Following the naturalistic approach, four main characteristics are reported through which to modulate some examples of hypnotic techniques.
