Models of the Mind is the official Journal of the graduate school in cognitive Interpersonal Psychotherapy SCINT (Aut Miur 2008); it was created as an open editorial space according to the open access philosophy, so all the contents are fully available online, released under a Creative Commons license. The connotation of the journal is represented not only by the desire to develop reflections in the field of cognitive psychotherapy, even from a strong interdisciplinary spirit, which may favor the dialogue between knowledge and dissemination of the most innovative and current scientific research contributions on the mind. Several thoughts are represented in order to be an authentic place of sharing and comparison within the scientific community, including mental health specialists - psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, but also teachers, sociologists and anthropologists, with the aim of increasing and promote contact between a plurality of languages that reflect and describe the changes and the complexity of the post-modern society.

In the case of research papers, the Journal uses a double blind peer review process; the referees who examine papers with a view to possible publication are not aware of the names of the authors who submitted the manuscript. The article is brought to the attention of experts chosen from the scientific board; each work is sent anonymously to avoid possible conditionings. The editors may decide not to submit to any referee articles that don’t fall within Journal’s Aim or do not satisfy the academic standards of the field. The judgments of the referees will be sent to the author even in the event of non-conformity of the article.
