The Italian military literature on colonial warfare is not large in numbers nor particularly original on average, with the exception of the essay by general Gugliemo Nasi which it is surely the best Italian contribute to the doctrine, at the same level of the best international works on the subject. The essay is mostly focused on the analysis of the Italian doctrine and consequently of the Italian military knowledge of the native population, their armies and warfare and finally the role of the colonial native troops.
