Although contemporary constitutional democracy and constitutionalism are the key to understanding many of our legal orders, one consequence of the development of those legal orders’ internal dynamics is that these two factors at the same time compel us to reformulate our understanding of concepts with which legal science has been working for a long time. In this article, the author addresses the transformation that the concept of institutional violence should undergo, from the point of view both of its contents and of the people who are involved in it.
