The paper deals the meeting of the literature with the psychoanalysis in Hungary of twentieth-century. The author examines the effects producted by Freud’s theories to literary men of Nyugat and to their works, in the light of a book of Lívia Nemes. Specifically, considers the famous novel of Dezső Kosztolányi, Édes Anna (Wonder Maid).
