By reconstructing the fortunes that her "crusade" enjoyed among conservative sectors of the Italian populace, the article analyses the use that has been made of her name in the context of certain political organisations and public spaces. It is evident that, in this case as well as others, odonymy is a potent tool for the diffusion and entrenchment of an ideology.
