In the last three years a new social movement is spreading over the world. This movement protests against a globalization that exploits poor countries and keep them to develop. His declared aim is to show oneself like a political but not institutional alternative. The literature has always studied movements to find a general theory, applicable to all collective protests. In his short way, this movement seems to reveal several aspects in common with the other past movements, particularly with the New Social Movements, but there is also something new: the global character of its diffusion and its requests, a reticulated organization, and especially a radical criticism of modern democracies.
