As it always happens after every election campaign, the last Italian campaign of 2006 gives to us interesting communicative events, situations and examples that we can study using various disciplinary approaches. The intention of this article is to prove as semiotics can analyze some specific examples as well as to explain semiotic instruments which are in a continuous evolution, in correlation with a general reflection on semiotic objects of analysis, methodologies and epistemological status. In particular, I analyze three examples: the journalist Lucia Annunziata interviews Silvio Berlusconi during the Tv program In mezz’ora (Raitre, March 12); the two debates Berlusconi-Prodi before the election day (March 14 and April 3); some special Tv programs after the election day (April 10).
