This paper explores some psychological correlates of the personal blog, which can be described as an online diary or journal. The blogger easily creates his/her online space, where he/she posts and shares with others his/her day-to-day experiences, thoughts, feelings and so on. This communicative instrument, which is very popular among young people, seems to fill the need to realize a self-disclosure online, which is opposed to the tendency of hiding his/her own identity behind anonymity or bizarre avatar (see e.g. Second Life). Keywords: blog, online communication, adolescence.
