La famiglia straniera nel contesto coatto. Le difficoltà nella valutazione e le sfide della presa in carico - This article presents some reflections on the difficulties in taking care of migrant families, with children judged at risk and on court orders. Migrant families may have specific problems related to cultural differences that make therapeutic work with them extremely hard. These problems are amplified by the suffering connected to migration and by some difficulties already existing within the family. In particular, I highlight the difficulty psychologists have in applying the typical instruments used when there therapeutic context is forced by court orders e.g.: referring to the information provided by the judgement to contrast the tendency to deny child abuse; including members of the family of origin in clinical interviews; recurring to resources such as foster care. After illustrating some short clinical stories, the article describes the challenges remaining open, in the context of interventions started because of court orders, in the work with families who have experienced migration. These lead clinicians to seek for creative solutions, both from a therapeutic and a planning point of view, in a continuous work of integration and re-adjustment. Last, the article hints at some of the emotional reactions clinicians may have when in contact with such families: negative emotions such as dicouragement or anger, as well as positive ones, such as tenderness or respect; in any case very intense affects
