Every culture has its own lexicon of emotions, which allows feelings to be socially shared. According to the studies of Damasio (2003), emotions (which may shape most of our daily experiences) might be defined as a special type of perception which informs us about current body status and any modifications due to interactions with the external environment. The research starts from a wide, generic lexicon of emotions (453 terms, extracted from past research) we then selected (in three stages) a set of specific adjectives to describe wine in emotional terms. By means of three consecutive studies, we then selected a group of 16 words which allows wine consumers to describe their feelings during wine tasting.
