International travels of bielorussian children to health recovery post Chernobyl: social e psychological evaluation - The authors evaluated, by a retrospective analysis, the influence on young of the stays abroad aimed at health recovery, during the period of childhood. Boys and girls gone abroad during childhood and adolescence one or more times, in the post Chernobyl years, participated in the research. Some factors that contribute to the better adaptation to a different culture, both of children that of adults, during the stay abroad were analysed. The young people interviewed have highlighted that experience abroad aimed at the recovery of health has effectively contributed to the improvement of their health, the development of their horizons, the adoption of important decisions in life, the development of national self-consciousness.
