The article presents some suggestions in order to work with migrants within an ethical stance: which is the minimal pre-requisite in order to understand each other among different cultures? Which are the questions the clinician must pose him/herself in order not to fall into the trap of undermining the differences (not knowing one doesn’t know) and risking to become "doctor homeostat". Which are the clinical moves in order to respect and consider the other and create a dialogical process. The ethical stance of care is shown through the position one takes and the language one utilizes; it includes, as Arlene Vetere suggests, attentiveness, responsibility, competence and responsiveness.
Keywords: Interculture, clinical work, ethical stance, analysis of the quest, reflexivity, blind spots.
