The article integrates health sociology models with applications results of counseling and narrative medicine in psychiatry. Sickness, disease and illness combine social, psychological and biological pattern in thought-forms narrations corresponding to the narrator’s prevailing mode of being, think, know and interpret. The reading of the Dsm-IV-TER in this key contains four categories: 1) sickness, 2) illness, 3) disease and 4) disease with illness and sickness. Health sociology investigates: the illness experienced without medical and social recognition, the psychosomatic disease and disease and illness without sickness. Health sociology could contribute, through the tools of narrative, to the conceptual reorganization and classification of psychiatric nosography.
