In recent years the issue of financing of infrastructure has become a critical issue and is widely discussed and in-depth reflection on policies, programs and development projects. The paper has the objective to describe one of the most interesting innovative methods of funding transport infrastructures: the mechanism of value capture, ie that capture (part) of economic benefits after the opening of the new infrastructure. The second part presents two case studies: the Quadrilatero Project and the Ørestad underground line in Copenhagen. The third part identifies success factors and criticalities about two experiences and offers some recommendations on the use of "capture value" as a mechanism of financing of transport infrastructure.
