In the modern world entire populations are subject to traumas caused by social or natural phenomena. Man is still far from overcoming hunger or using violence and wars. The traumas provoked by these events on a large scale have the same effects on the psyche and the body of the individual that we find in patients traumatized in early stages of their development. It is very important to understand what happens in the body, and which psychological defence mechanisms are chosen in order to survive.

Keywords: Trauma, body, psoas
