Is investigated, based on an extensive clinical work with adolescents who have had suicide attempts, the relationship existing between the narcissistic fragility and cruel experiences of narcissistic depression which this condition promotes together with the representation of death. It takes off in these cases a vigorous creative push that gives death a high aesthetic value and characterizes it as far more enriching solution than life. The suicidal Self lives and works in a closed space of the Self without any relational option, but when he meets with the therapist he can give rise to a new non-suicidal Self, mindful of the relationship with death, but decided to postpone its advent.
