The concept of "work" is implicit in all the work of Freud. It designates an activity of mediation and conflict with an object, internal or external, that obstacles the subject imposing him a transformation. The natural model of this work is adolescence as a process of revolutionary psychic reorganization that implies a considerable creative effort to redefine the identity of the subject. The society we live in tends to trivialize this task favouring the immediate excitatory charge at the expense of creativity which involves time. The therapeutic work with adolescents consists of reactivating the drama of their crisis rather than repressing it in a reassuring way. This implies trusting the emerging creative abilities of the adolescent and, at the same time, the suspension of its "supposed knowledge" in order to get it back together with creating a common work space. Two clinical examples illustrate this process.
