The expropriation of the personality and the regression to a children’s stage seem to be the two main consequences of detention in Italy. No more "control and punish", as used to write Foucault, but also "expropriate and wound". The article examines the mechanisms through which rules and ritualities of every days life such results are achieved. The author bases her observations on her experience in the field, since she led an experimental group of psychotherapy within the Opera’s prison, near Milan
