This paper introduces a comparative study on the consequences of the Laval ruling, issued by the Swedish labour court. Some references are made to Lord Wedderburn’s theory on entitlement of the right to strike in different European legal systems. Furthermore, the Monti Report is mentioned, with the intention of framing potential future developments in the controversial discussion opened by the Court of Justice’s case law, followed by an even more controversial ruling of the Swedish court.
