In this paper the author compares the French philosopher P. Ricoeur’s reflexions on mourning to those of A.G. Gargani, a student of L. Wittgenstein, on the morphological method developed by S. Resnik in psychoanalysis. The author concentrates particularly on the stratification of the identifications which compose what A.G. Gargani defined as the "creative filter" of every researcher, motivated in his own research. The author illustrates using clinical material, also personal, the inter-connections between some of these identifications.
