Starting from two models of organisational thought and praxis, the essay aims at a new definition of the organisation as a site, which enables a peculiar - and politically relevant - form of education. The first example comes from the Nazi Germany, where several efforts have been done in order to transform the shop floor into a comfortable place. The second concerns the contemporary organisation, structured as a "web of webs". In both cases - albeit they are very different from each other historically and culturally speaking - we can describe in terms of biopolitics the attempt to control and pre-determine the structures of sense making that characterize the organisational form of life. A different result could be envisaged if it were possible to enable the actors participating in the organisational life to develop critical and autonomous forms of reaction to the constrains deriving from the organisation itself.

Keywords: Theory of organisations, education and politics, neoliberalism, biopolitics.
