This article is about the original field of human experience. These experiences take place before the creation of mental images, when neither differentiation between the opposites, nor between subject and object has been established yet. The Author, moving her formulations from the clinical ground, thinks that in order to give the images the possibility to stem, the subject needs to establish his limits. The article points out the distinctive qualities an analysis must have in order to facilitate the emergence of the images. First of all the analyst must be able to bear the patient’s experience without labelling it too soon. The patient, through the transference, can show his way of functioning in a reliable and significant relationship. As a consequence, the analysis is living in one’s own flesh the drama or the experience of the other, without that there will be no transformation, no cure.
