In the past few decades the topic of Green Economy has become relevant. Many authors have approached this issue from the perspective of large companies, however, the concept of Green Economy could be quite interesting from an SME perspective as well. The aim of this paper is to review the literature and to explain whether opportunities for SME in adopting a green "behaviour" could be useful to better address the needs of customers. The authors examine the results of a survey carried out among a sample of small-medium firms from the Marches Region. Preliminary findings highlight that often SMEs are not able to address customers’ needs in terms of eco-sustainable outcome as revealed by this study. It is actually very difficult for these firms to disclose and convey to the market and their customers the values of the Green Economy that they desire to bring.
