The paper aims to analyze the impact of the economic crisis on Romanian workers living in Veneto. In particular, it focuses on: the most affected subject; the responses of individuals and families; the changes occurring in the labor market in Veneto. The thesis that emerges shows a strong stabilization of the Romanian migratory component in Veneto. There is a clear rising of the contract insecurity and worsening working conditions, while the impact on the lives of the workers was heterogeneous: only a small dial of respondents was affected by the state of poverty, but the deterioration is widespread. The paper is developed through two themes: 1) Changes occurred at the labor market in the Veneto region, in particular the recruitment phase and contract typology; 2) The effects of the economic crisis on careers and life paths of migrants. In the conclusion I show a brief comparison with Moroccan interviewees.
