Within studies about work-family interface, great attention has been devoted to the perspective of work-family conflict, defined as an incompatibility between demands associated with work and family roles. This research involved 190 nurses of a health care. The main aim of this study was to evaluate the role of organizational support and of work-family backlash as determinants in the work-family conflict. The results indicate that work-family conflict and colleagues work-family backlash are perceived to a greater extent by those who have children than those without children. The results of multiple regression analysis show that among all the factors considered only the backlash in the relationship with bosses influences the perception of work-family conflict.
