This essay reviews the main institutions underpinning the Greek system of industrial relations and its labour market. It then moves on to focus on the measures adopted by the Greek government to address the economic crisis, and in particular on those measures implemented in the labour law and industrial relations contexts. Finally, the Authors offers an evaluation of the impact that the economic crisis and the government’s measures have jointly had on the working conditions and the Greek system of industrial relations.
