By stating that psychotherapy should not be relegated to therapists’ therapeutic private offices, should overcome the classic model of individual therapy and provide guide lines for "good living", Polster promotes the Life Focus Communities -- groups of people guided through their daily experiences with the support of therapeutic practices and procedures. Life Focus Communities represent an on-going process of sharing, in which people reflect, experience and exchange thoughts on different topics, find solutions to problems and improve individual lives by breaking isolation and by promoting personal relational skills empowerment. Life Focus Communities innovative structure, its methodological efficacy and its modernity emerge to pave the way for activities that are implemented in those communities.
