Landi This contribution considers the multifaceted concept of ‘resilience’, a term with a high multidisciplinary vocation that is more and more used in the broad debate on environmental sustainability. After a brief review on the origins and interpretations of this concept, the attention is focused on resilience as a collective adaptation skill and a possible socio-spatial community competence.
