Today all the players in the health-system (doctors, nurses, managers, citizens) contribute to building networks of relationships which can exchange resources: the resulting governance replaces usual corporate interests and calls a variety of professionals to renegotiate their respective spheres of competence. Focusing on the concepts of social networking, community care and shared care, the author proposes a reflection on some issues such as: a comparison between health professions and the strategies for developing a "culture of integration", the opportunities (and constraints) associated with the growth of health and social professions and the need to implement new organizational models based on real operational autonomy.
