In order to turn a group of children into a psychoanalytic psychotherapy group we need some conditions such as the analyst’s anticipation of the group, a precise spatial-temporal organization of sessions, the use of free associations and abstinence. Once these conditions are met, the analyst leads his group by accompanying it and favouring local and formal regression in thinking in order to build a group psychic apparatus and individual psychic attunement, thus delineating the boundaries of intersubjective spaces included in the group matrix. In this article the Author presents the first sessions of a group of children, the essential moments for the construction of this apparatus and the basis of group psychic matter, whose evolution, expressed in the children’s inter-fantasizing during sessions, will engage the transformation of each child’s intrapsychic part.
