In this section we present a paper by Fritz Perls that was given as a talk, at Mendocino State Hospital, California, in 1959. In this paper Perls tries to lead us from the play of opposites - central in most Gestalt work - to the unity of resolution. That is, he takes us to the other side of the coin: unity instead of division. Perls speaks about his idea to create a "unified field theory" in psychology, about "universal awareness, "the zero point of creative indifference", Taoism and, finally, about the "creative conflict".
