The author underlines that propensity to liquidity, one of the most important concept in Keynes theory, is broadly inspired by Freudian thought: specially by anal-sadic and oral-sadic stages, greed and sublimation. Freud’s work was known and appreciated by Keynes as we know from his 1925 letter to The Nation.
