The expressive dancer and the psychoanalyst. The article examines the theoretical and clinical development of Wilhelm Reich in the 30s in Berlin and Oslo. In this crucial decade for the birth of body psychotherapy, Reich lived together with Elsa Lindenberg, a dancer specialized in expressive dance and member of the school of Rudolf Laban. The author inquires into possible influences of Elsa Lindenberg on Reich in the context of body awarenes in modern dance and, in general, within the German and Austrian youth movement (1895-1933).
