The media invade the traditional institutional public spaces, including justice; sensationalism and spectacle find fertile ground, and sets the role of the guardians of democracy. This situation put in crisis the Italian judicial system, which has not yet adapted to radical changes in global communication and the dynamics of a criminal trial focused on the regulation and the protection of the judicial secret, in the context of a society which, however, is more and more focused on transparency and real-time traffic information. Consequently, the damages are relevant to the rights of a victim, a suspect, an accused. In a climate of confusion, litigation public relations are relevant, specializing American public relations that uses the media to cushion the impact of the "double jeopardy" and for the protection of reputation.
