In the "intergenerational responsibility" there’s the idea that the human should take care of the future generations as well as for his contemporaries. In the first section the author illustrates the hard emersion of the responsibility principle that, originated as an ethical and philosophical discussion, becomes able to influence the policy action. The public opinion, in fact, warned about the risks, in the long term too, for the habi- tat and the humans, caused by technology development induces ever more the governments to prepare effective proceedings able to restrain the damages. The problem to create a legal personality for the future humans relegated the intergenerational responsibility, as postponement, in some preamble of international law. This is proved in the second section by the analysis of the "precaution principle" that, as main implementation of the principle of responsibility, couldn’t obtain anything more than the role of "guiding principle" in some international treaties.
