The city after the city? - David Harvey's last publication, Rebel Cities: From the Right to the City to the Urban Revolution, is contextualized in this text through a close examination of the wide work of the Marxist geographer. Focusing on the original theoretical frame of the urban transformations, the author discusses in a critical perspective the transitions into Harvey's categories. These are read in the light of the current crisis and through the point of view of the urban movements.

Keywords: Urbanization, the right to the city, crisis, urban movements, accumulation by dispossession, production of the city.
