Music is not a mere form: it evokes experiences that go back to prenatal life, which are mainly sonorous. Furthermore, it can become a language, thus creating meaningful contructions. For what concerns Wagner, his musical constructions are based on the dynamic occurrence of Leitmotives, that change their meanings according to the peculiar sequence they are following, or the harmonic variations they are inserted. The great composer (1813-1883), lived when psychoanalysis had not yet been formulated; nevertheless, the wagnerian drama expresses a compact synthesis of different types of language, able to overcome the limit of the word, thus opening a meaningful space to express the deepness of human psychè.
