This paper proposes some reflections on the political, legal and sociological cultures close to the thought of Bruno Trentin’s numerous and stubborn militant research. For us, the question is not "to test" the undeniable actuality of the impressive body of Trentin’s theory, but to formulate questions of greater importance during political union meetings. The frame of this re-reading consists of a "new" great transformation in which emerges the dramatic specificity of the Italian state, where the triumph of a globalized neoliberal paradigm triggers the progressive decline of production factors, attributable in part to the financial market turmoil. Through the theoretical references of some of Trentin’s writings, the essay tries to query the ongoing transformation of the characteristics of our Italian entrepreneurial structure and the process of implosion of the industrial relations system and what remains of the labour law which was created in the "glorious thirties".
