The article analyzes the relationship between the alternative agro-food networks and practices of solidarity economy through the case study of the RedeMoinho, a network of production and consumption based in Bahia. It provides an economic alternative to family farmers, with a low income. The article focuses on critical issues respect the relationship between consumers and producers and the economic and environmental sustainability of RedeMoinho. The method used is mixed. Data show the results of the questionnaire handed out to consumers and of the in-depth interviews done with farmers and network’s operators.
