Over the years there have been carried out some researches with the purpose of investigating the correlation between metacognitive functions, and cognitive function in psychotic subjects. The present work aims to provide a further contribution to the deepening of the issues mentioned above, also wants to focus on the approach centered on psychotherapeutic metacognition applied to psychosis. The proposed research has been developed on an single case; to the subject in order to assess cognitive function, has been administered a battery of tests in two times, at time T0 and the time T1, respectively begin the therapeutic process, and about six months of treatment, also useful for the stage of follow-up test; in addition to has also begin to examine metacognitive function and the Indiana Psychiatric Illness Interview, an interview used specifically in our research, as transcribed excusively on which to assess metacognitive functions. The metacognitive functions have been investigated in order to verify which of these were in deficit and on which of these the treatment should focus. The purpose of this research is to examine the hypothesis that the application of a cognitive behavioral therapy to metacognitive orientation, can be effective in improving of the cognitive functions in a young subject with high schooling, suffering from psychotic disorder early onset. The results show a change in the medium an cognitive test between T0 and T1
