This paper aims to introduce the activities of survey and support of educational careers carried out by the Department of Education, Human Sciences and Intercultural Communication (University of Siena - Arezzo) throughout the academic year 2014-2015. The most substantial outcomes of these activities sprang out of an experimental employ of Facebook. Through the social network, going beyond traditional communication channels (e-mail, telephone), the university tutors got in touch with many students about to drop out of their course of studies and gave them all the necessary support to get back and conclude their educational career.
