I will analyze Colombian international migrants’ trajectories of return in the current context from a gender, generational and transnational perspective. The complexity of the experience of return to Colombia in its multiple dimensions makes us wonder about the subject who returns as well as about the receiving communities. Colombian migrants practice different return strategies according to their societal positions, while their insertion/inclusion in the place of origin is marked by processes of social construction and migration policies. Whereas the guidelines of the Colombia migration policy privileges the image of the returned migrant as an entrepreneur, productive subject and/or as highly qualified. The study discloses a de-articulation between the trajectories of the returnees and the way in which the Colombian migration policy manages the processes of their reincorporation. The analysis is based on the results from the project "The returning subject in the transnational frame. The making of subjectivities and integration trajectories in the international Colombian migrations".
