The author retraces the steps of his personal life showing how the scientific study of psychology has found a strong stimulus in the philosophy degree and the diploma in piano, which have widened the criterion of his conscious interpretative function, to deepen the function of the internal and external sensation as analytical field that consists of the holistic form of the analyst-patient relationship. This theme has accompanied the years of clinical and teaching work, but in the background sounded (and sounds) a "continuous" musical bass that vibrates like a synchronistic moment of Jungian analysis.

Keywords: Conscious interpretative function, synchronicity, pianoforte, analyst-patient relationship
