This essay has the purpose of deepening the theme of safety and prevention linked with alcohol and drug abuse in the contexts of nocturnal leisure time, during almost twenty years of Cesena’s AUSL (Healthcare authorities) project "Notti Sicure" (Safe Nights) in Romagna. The author’s central theme rotates around the necessity of identifying innovative and consolidated forms of prevention (among which the use of web society tools with all the implications that go with it at an operational level) in order have major efficacy. Particular emphasis is given to two aspects: practices, which refer to the theory and evaluation of the interventions.
