The interview begins with a detailed analysis of the Italian legislation on equal opportunities. Legislation which is still evolving, but that is advanced when compared to that of other European countries. The implementation of the Code of equal opportunities between men and women (2006) is then examined, highlighting the aspects still to be addressed and the relevant priorities, the situation at regional level and some innovative experiences. The interview ends with a description of the actions to be implemented in order to promote a more widespread culture on gender-equality.
